Ray's, LLC/Donald Matthews Overtime Lawsuit Filed

Gibbons Jones, P.C. has been retained by former employees of Ray's, LLC who alleges that Ray's, LLC and Donald Matthews failed to pay them for all hours that they worked.  We have interviewed several individuals employed as Drivers and Slingers of Ray's Trash trucks who have made similar allegations.  Our investigation has revealed that Ray's, LLC and Donald Matthews may be violating federal wage laws by:

Refusing to allow Drivers and Slingers who drive or work on Ray's Trash trucks to take a 30 minute uninterrupted lunch each day, but deducting 20 minutes from their pay every shift, regardless of whether lunch is taken

On May 15, 2008 a lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana against Ray's, LLC and Donald Matthews seeking overtime pay, damages and attorney's fees on behalf of all current and former Drivers and Slingers who drove or worked on Ray's Trash trucks.

If you are a current or former Ray's, LLC Driver or Slinger who either works through lunch or has 20  minutes deducted from your pay each shift, you may be entitled to back-wages.

At this point in time, no court has made any determination concerning whether Ray's, LLC and/or Donald Matthews are liable for any back pay or damages.
